Vicar For Sale
At the fete, you can make sealed bids to buy Graham from St Peter's for a day. You can use him for anything that is legal, decent (not too difficult at his age), not too strenuous and not involving heights or theme parks.
Want a day improving your business? A trip round a car factory? Learn tricks of Excel, PowerPoint, etc.? Discover the delights of water rockets and/or statistical problem solving? Have a day's theology teaching? Discover the delights of model steam trains? A day in the shed? A Retreat day? You choose.
He's offering one day but if more than one bid is made in excess of 50% of his normal business rate then he will honour the highest two of those as well.
Group and corporate bids are welcomed. Private bids can be Gift Aided so corporate bids will have to beat private bids by 25% to win.
Laura and Friends Go for a Run
Laura Chidley is raising money for Cancer Research by doing the race for life in July. Given that a recent Facebook post says she took 30 minutes to walk to the school (just up the road - Laura claims it's 2 miles....) this is going to take some serious training.
She's not racing alone. The rest of the team are Eleanor (Laura's daughter) Emma and her daughter Millie, Danni who's just got married, Alex and her daughter Olivia, and Claire. Give them some real encouragement here:

Welcome
Welcome to St Peter's Church. Our motto is "There's room for everyone at St Peter's" so that includes you.
St Peter's is part of the Anglican Church (or Church of England.) Parts of the building date back nearly 900 years, or maybe longer.
Have a look on the Services page to see what we offer or use the Contacts page to ask us a question. We look forward to seeing you.
Sermons The sermon that Colin preached at St Matthew's and St Peter's on 17th March can be found here. If you were there then you'll want to read it again. If you weren't then you need to read it.
And then Marilyn followed up with this one on Palm Sunday. Time I retired.

Making Sense our Men's Group will be back in the Autumn. Getting us all together on the same day in the same place at the same time during the summer was proving too difficult!
